Possible Selves 6- The Kaizen Method
I am sad to say that I have no fancy graphic for this part of my possible self project (though I might delve into a larger scale visual for my own personal benefit once I have some more free time), but that gave me all the more time to actually think about what I was putting into words. For this aspect, we looked at the Kaizen Method, and I'll be making a simplified version of my own below to help myself achieve my goals on language use and learning!
1. The Hope: I want to be fluent enough to be able to understand/interpret for my patients without the use of a translator.
2. The Goal: I will pass the NJE Level 3 with a Silver or Gold certificate by the time I am done with my bachelor's degree.
3. My Action Plan (How will I achieve what's above?):
a. I will continue working to the best of my ability through my Japanese classes at KCAI.
b. Over the summer, I will work through Marugoto as far as I am able.
c. I will continue to text/write with native speakers through gaming platforms to practice informal and formal speech.
d. I will finish the "Remembering the Kanji" by the end of the summer 2021.
e. I will work with my peers to practice verbal communication, and listen to music/other Japanese language media to practice auditory comprehension.
A GOAL IS A DREAM WITH A DEADLINE My Action Plan: The HOPE: My hope is to ____________________ The GOAL: I will ____________________________ The TASKS: STEP 1 STEP 2 STEP 3 STEP 4 STEP 5
Excellent tasks! I like how you stated you were learning Japanese to help others. That is a wonderful reason to keep learning. Keep interacting with native speakers as much as you are able and remember that to become a writer you must first be a reader. tadoku.org is a good place to start. Keep it up! I'm really proud of your hard work
